Cinematography the art and technology of motion picture photography. learning about cinematography was the most fun I’ve had in my media studies class we learn about different angles and conventional uses of them.1800s was when cinematography first started being used when people began combing multiple consecutive photos to create an illusion of an motion picture. The earliest surviving picture is “Roundhay garden scene” which was created in 1888 and was only 2.11 seconds long.I learned about different angles such as long angle shots. Medium shots, close up shot, wide shot, extreme shots, and many more.
I learned about different ways camera shots/angles are used to make feeling come through to the viewer as they are watching the films and how some shots can be used together which can create a whole new shot. When learning about these things I found my self amazed of the different kind of things that seem to fly over my head but now more ware of and have knowledge about to understand what the directors are trying tell us.
In class we used these angles doing an assignment about different angles and how they look like. Our teacher allowed to go into the hallways of school to take different pictures that correspond with different camera angles. When finished taking pictures we uploaded them to a document and found other camera angles of the same kind which are shown below
